About No Sir Fans

This is the website that mom and dad didn’t want you going to when you were younger.

On a Thursday night while driving home from Four Peaks Brewery in beautiful Tempe, AZ, two proud Arizona State Sun Devils hatched the idea that their view on the world of sports needed to be distributed worldwide VIA the world wide web.

There was no doubt on what it would be called or what it would include. From there, the website was launched and the USS No Sir Fans was christened on Monday, May 18, 2009. In a fashion that only Justin Karp and Brandon Velaski, the co-founders of the website, could pull off, several bottles of Santana DVX were smashed against the hull.

NoSirFans.com is the place to get all of the best sports analysis and information on the web expertly blended with our sense of humor and sarcasm. We’re unlike any other blog that you’ll come across and we hope to become one of your daily stops.

No Sir Fans currently operates two offices. Well, we like to call them offices, but really, they’re just the places we live and watch sports.

The site was dreamed up and started in Phoenix, Arizona and Brandon continues to work in the city and operate the Phoenix bureau of NSF.

After living for six years in the beautiful Valley of the Sun (and yearning every day to return there), Justin moved to College Park, Maryland for graduate school and subsequently opened the East Coast bureau.

In mid-August, Justin and Brandon welcomed the newest member and the first staff writer to the site. Brett Harmon, a Pittsburgh native, helps Brandon in Phoenix and contributes his view of the world of sports.

The guys were honored in 2006 as Time’s “People of the Year,” but they had to share it with several other winners. Our goal is to reclaim the title all on our own in the future.
